💕 What makes SSMC different?

My approach combines warmth, patience, structure, and emotional support. As an MSW student with extensive childcare experience, I incorporate SEL-informed (social-emotional learning) practices into my care to help children feel safe, supported, and understood.

🚗 Do you travel to families?

Yes! I provide mobile/in-home childcare support and travel directly to families.

🌙 Do you offer overnight care?

Yes! Shining Starrs Mobile Childcare offers flexible overnight and extended-hour support for families with nontraditional schedules, based on availability and scheduling needs. 

📅 How do meet & greets work?

Meet & greets give families an opportunity to ask questions, discuss childcare needs, and make sure we are a good fit before booking services.

💳 What forms of payment do you accept?

Accepted payment methods will be discussed during the booking process. Deposits may be required to secure bookings.

🩹 Are you CPR/First Aid certified?

Yes! Child safety is extremely important to me, and I maintain CPR/First Aid certification.

🤒 What happens if a child is sick?

Families are asked to communicate any illness symptoms before care begins. Additional policies regarding illness and cancellations will be provided during booking.

📱 How quickly do you respond to inquiries?

I aim to respond to messages and booking inquiries within 24 hours whenever possible.

✈️ Do you offer travel childcare?

Yes! Travel childcare may be available for vacations, weddings, conferences, and other family events.

📚 Do you provide educational activities?

Yes! I enjoy incorporating age-appropriate activities, reading, emotional learning support, creativity, and play into care routines whenever possible.
